ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH
STAFFORD, TEXAS
BELIEFS
Along with all Christians, Lutherans believe:

-
God is triune- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
Sin is our separation from God.
-
Jesus was crucified and died. Three days laster, he rose from the dead to break the chains of sin and death.
-
The Bible is inspired Word of God and points us to Jesus.
So, Lutherans share common beliefs with all Christians. At the same time, Lutherans emphasize:

-
Justification by Grace through Faith– We are captive to sin and cannot free ourselves. It is out of God's great love for us that God comes to us, redeems us, and sets us on a new path. We don't earn any of this. It is all a gift from God.
-
The Sacraments– Baptism is the entrance ritual into the life of the church, and God is present in the waters of Baptism. Lutherans baptize children and adults. Holy Communion is the supper of our Lord. In bread and wine, Jesus comes to be with us, nourish us and prepare us for our calling in the world.
